Upper Midwest Organic Conference

This year both Ken and I attended the organic conference.  Ken often goes, but usually I stay home to manage seedlings, wood stove, animals and the other odd things that need to be done on a regular basis each day or so.  A friend offered to farm sit, and we both left our place together overnight for the first time in about a year. 

We had a great time connecting with farm friends, attending workshops, learning so much, walking the exhibition area, seeing independent films, and one particular highlight was the Friday evening contra dance.  we met contra dancing.  we both love to dance, and we had a wonderful time.

Our deep gratitude goes out to all who made it possible - farm sitter, members of MOSES scholarship committee, friends who put us up in Lacrosse (or should I say put up with us), and friends we visited and gave us a tour and lunch.
