Fall Transplants at the Mobile High Tunnel

Last Saturday we attended a wedding.  People were surprised to hear Ken is planting and transplanting.

He has been planting in the area where he plans to move the mobile high tunnel for its winter location this week

Last season the egg mobile was in this same spot.

And earlier this season the area was planted in rye and looked like this

Ken had to re-establish his raised beds, and set up irrigation.  He then transplanted and covered the plants with fiber so they did not suffer shock.

Now he is planting more tiny transplants and will cover them with fiber as well.

Why is he wearing headphones?  His favorite Simply Folk is on Wisconsin Public Radio, and he is listening.

He took a break to run up and get a vest.
